Well, it's official. I'm going to the Bonnaroo Festival this year. I never knew it existed until a couple weeks ago when they announced the line-up. I guess it's been primarily a roots-rock / jam band festival in previous years. Of the multitude of artists already announced, here's the ones I'll most likely make a point of seeing, if their sets don't coincide:

The other cool thing about the weekend is I'm getting together with my best friend from high school, who now lives in Mississippi. I haven't spent more than a couple hours with him in over seven years. We've got some catching up to do.

And no, I'm not camping. Splurged on a hotel package. At least 4 hours of sleep a night and a hot shower is worth it. I'm too old to lie on the ground for three nights, even if it means seeing Radiohead for the first time and Elvis Costello for the umpteenth time.

My, how the time flies. This evening marked the unofficial one-year anniversary of pat radio. It was last year on February 9 that I first tried doing a radio show from my basement. My buddy Brian in far-off Cincinnati listened that night.

Look for a bigger extravaganza in July when we celebrate the official birthday of pat radio.
